The Royal Navy Fleet EW Effectiveness Trophy 2023

HMS Kent’s EW department was awarded the Fleet EW trophy 2023 for their outstanding EW contribution in what was, an extremely busy year. Predominantly under national tasking for excessive periods, KENT has constantly contributed high quality intercepts into the Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support Centre (JEWOSC) ensuring that associated data bases remain at the forefront of global mission data. Although short notice tasking has seen the EW department given little time to prepare, products produced by the team were of the highest standard demonstrating their extreme professionalism which has also seen them receive praise from senior leaders within the Royal Navy for their support to wider strategic issues.

The Royal Navy LS (EW) Top Student Award

The RN LS (EW) top student for 2021 is LS (EW) Lewis Bennett from the latest (EW) Qualifying career course. Lewis has been drafted into HMS Kent where the award will be presented in due course.  We wish Lewis well for his time serving in his new draft. BZ to Lewis.

The Royal Navy Fleet EW Effectiveness Trophy 2021

The 2021 RN Fleet EW Effectiveness Trophy was awarded to the HMS Richmond EW team. PO (EW) Timothy Dodge receiving the Fleet EW Trophy from Lt Sam Samuel (Fleet EW Officer) (photo below).  PO (EW) Timothy Dodge was the EW Manager on HMS RICHMOND during OP FORTIS 21 for which HMS RICHMOND received this accolade for 2021. All 8 members of the EW team were awarded cheques from the UK Chapter by way of recognition of their efforts in EW support.  BZ HMS Richmond EW Team.
